Awesome place. Food was great; I would recommend the Reuben. Service was excellent; servers were very friendly and accommodating. Very "mom-and-pop". Pleasant atmosphere. Cribbage board available upon request

This is a great Mom & Pop type of restaurant and very kid friendly too. The staff is always friendly and the place is very clean. They have been here for decades and we've been coming here for years. We got to come by for a visit after many years and the food was just as good as I remember. Everything you eat here is fresh, salads and veggies are fresh cut, soups and pies made from scratch and we loved every bite. If you are needing a good place to eat on your trip I would highly recommend going to the hilltop, they also have a gas station and sell snacks for the road so they have everything you need.

We went here on a afternoon at about 2, so there wasn't anyone else there. It was a nice sized mom and pop restaurant. The staff was very friendly and they also had a little quick shop in there as well. They had homemade cinnamon rolls on the counter that I was eyeing the whole time and I regret not getting one! I had the Pork tenderloin sandwich and that was pretty good. The breading was a little gritty for me and I didn't enjoy that texture. However, the flavor was really good! The tater tots that I had on the side were absolutely amazing! Perfect amount of crispy, without being overdone. I could eat them all day! My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and was very impressed. His side salad however was a little brown for my tastes. They did bring out thick sliced bread, and a vegetable and cheese tray before our meal. That was good to just snack on while we waited. Over all I was very impressed. It is more home cooking and a very homey feel. The menu is very good sized and you will have a hard time deciding! I will for sure go back next time we are on our way up to South Dakota and I'll be getting one of those yummy looking cinnamon rolls!

This place isn't good or bad. For a gas station restaurant in the middle of Nebraska, it's what you expect. "Home-style" food mass produced for lunch with a meat and potatoes bias. If you're looking for flavor, meh.
